The Night Circus by Eric Morgenstern
So first of all, this won’t be like any other book review. It will be brief and short and just tell you what I liked and didn’t like about it. Starting off with the fact that it was a present from my boyfriend, who thought I might like it, being a big Harry Potter nerd and I love Romance mixed with magic aka Disney. I also add that I love Cirque du soleil and ‘The Greatest Showman’.
This book quickly got my interest starting off talking about an old duel, which no one knows when it will end. Being dyslexic, I already take a lot longer to read and sometimes have to reread whole pages as I can’t remember what I read. (More about that on another blog entry) but this book had a couple of fun story lines, which slowly became closer at the end. I loved every minute of reading it, even though I left it on the plane and had to reorder a new one to keep reading.
Erin Morgenstern wrote in a way to make it easy to let my creativity roll and imagine everything in my head. The circus itself is so magical, I wished it would exist and I could visit ‘Le cirque des Rêves’. I would definitely become one of the ‘rêveurs’ and follow the circus around. It sounds like entering a dream world and forget everything that is happening in the outside world, hence why I do think that everyone wishing to escape reality for a little would definitely enjoy this book. Hoping I haven’t told too much, but also enough, I would definitely recommend The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.
